The Minn Kota Bluetooth Heading Sensor (direction sensor and compass) is also an additional GPS precision compass for the new i-Pilot and i-Pilot-LINK system. The sensor and compass can communicate with the motor head of the Minn Kota PowerDrive, Terrova and Ulterra bow motors using the built-in Bluetooth module. In addition to a strong improvement in precision, the direction sensor is the necessary prerequisite for the new jog function.
The direction sensor is already included as standard in the current versions of Minn Kota Terrova and Minn Kota Ulterra, with the PowerDrive models you need this module as an addition. This way your i-Pilot or i-Pilot-LINK system becomes more precise than ever before, you have the ingenious Spot Lock function, the best GPS anchor that you can currently find on the market. Spot Lock keeps your boat exactly on the spot and you can use the jog function to move the fishing boat in the desired direction (always by a multiple of 1.5 meters). This means that both hands are always free when fishing, making it easier for you to target hot spots and throw off edges.
With the Minn Kota Heading Sensor you can benefit from all the new functions that i-Pilot and i-Pilot LINK provide. Your fishing boat has never been held so precisely on the spot, both in strong currents as well as in wind or waves. The motto here is: Navigating better with the second GPS. This is the heart of this system, the additional GPS antenna with the integrated digital compass at the stern of the fishing boat is connected to the GPS antenna of the motor head via Bluetooth. This results in a lever arm that guarantees tremendous precision practically over the entire midships length.
The assembly can be done anywhere on the fishing boat, as long as it is parallel to the midship line. The necessary power supply comes from any 12 volt power source. Spot lock jog
The jog feature allows you to move to points at 1.5 m intervals around your GPS anchor as new orientation points in no time at all, without any additional effort for you to operate.
