With the Xi5 electric outboard motor, Motorguide is bringing an absolute top model in front motors for anglers onto the market. It goes without saying that all Xi5 motors are subjected to precise water and pressure tests and the entire electronics are completely sealed, so that the motor has a long service life.

Two compasses and a GPS system are built into the electric outboard, which means that Pinpoint GPS technology enables you to drive completely autonomously. With the wireless foot pedal remote control or a handheld remote control, the Xi5 is incredibly easy to control.

Anchor function:

Like an anchor, the Motorguide Xi5 holds the fishing boat in exactly one place. Thanks to precise GPS technology and the fast response time of the motor, your boat no longer drifts, regardless of whether it is wind, waves or the current. You can save up to 8 anchor positions so that you can return to them later at the push of a button. When the Xi5 is in anchor mode, you can make minor course corrections, which is very useful for positioning yourself in areas with lots of fish.

Heading Lock:

You only have to enter a direction so that the Motorguide Xi5 drives your fishing boat into it and steers it independently, this is possible thanks to the built-in GPS control. The course will be held no matter how strong the wind and waves are.

Routes:

The Motorguide Xi5 records a successful route and can later drive it completely independently at the specified cruise control speed. The Xi5 stores up to 8 routes, each up to four miles in length. This function is particularly popular with vertical anglers and trollers.

Cruise Control Tempomat:

The Motorguide Xi5 keeps the speed precisely and automatically compensates for wind, waves or currents. Ideally suited for trolling anglers, for whom maintaining the optimal trolling speed is just as essential for the bait run as it is for vertical fishing.

The advantages of the Motorguide Xi5 are not limited to the above, among other things, the electric outboard has a battery indicator and LED lights and digital power management, whereby the Xi5 achieves top values in battery life. Of course, the Xi5 is also equipped with an integrated 83/200 kHz echo sounder transducer. It is also special that Motorguide finally has compatibility with Lowrance echo sounders, this is done through a separately available NMEA2000 gateway kit, with which you can connect the Lowrance Elite Ti7 echo sounders and all HDS Gen3 echo sounders with the Xi5. The echo sounder also takes over the control of the electric outboard, thanks to the SmartSteer software this is super easy, you can carry out automatic maneuvers, drive zigzag courses and also long S-curves. Of course, this also applies to other courses and routes that you have previously defined on the Lowrance echo sounder using the touchscreen.
