The Nightwave Ultra Low-Light Marine Camera from SIONYX is built on a Black Silicon BSI CMOS sensor. It allows all levels of mariners to easily spot obstacles and debris on moonless, starlit nights - without white light or expensive thermal cameras. The camera enables safe navigation so you can avoid collisions and maximize your time on the water. It features <1 millilux moonless starlight sensitivity, so you can see well beyond what normal human eyesight allows and detect man-sized objects at 492 feet. The 44° field of view increases situational awareness so you can spot unexpected markers, vessels, land formations, and more. It is IP67 rated, submersible to 3' for 30 minutes, and safe to use when you are experiencing inclement weather conditions. With flexible mounting options and easy setup, Nightwave can seamlessly integrate with major brand MFDs via the analog video output, displaying clear color digital night vision.
You can use the Nightwave wired and remotely. The device has an analog output (NTSC/PAL) that can be connected directly to displays that support an analog video input. These include multifunction displays or MFDs from various well-known brands. Use the supplied cable for this connection. You can also use the free SIONYX app to stream images live to your iOS/Android smartphone or tablet. This is via Wi-Fi. You can also take photos and videos from your own device. The Nightwave streams in 1080x720 HD at 30 frames per second.
Under the bottom, the camera has a standard 1/4" female thread connection, allowing you to mount the Nightwave on a variety of tripods and clamps. The camera can also be mounted upside down, with the software automatically rotating the displayed image 180 degrees.

MOUNTING OPTIONS

WiFi communication and command and control options are available via the SIONYX app with both power sources.
Powering the camera via 12V DC and using the analog video output is the preferred method for integration into onboard electronics [MFD]. A user may prefer USB power as a convenient option when a 12V DC battery is not available. When using USB as the power option, the analog video output is not available. USB powering the camera is the preferred method when connecting to a host device [PC/Laptop].
When the camera is powered via the factory-installed 12V DC cable... The following applies:
WiFi live video streaming is available via the SIONYX app.
USB video output is not available.
Analog video output is available via the SMA-BNC-RCA connector on the factory-installed cable.
When the camera is powered via USB [5V DC] using the included USB cable:
WiFi live video streaming is available when selected in the SIONYX app.
Note: When Wi-Fi video is selected via the app, USB video is NOT available.

Application:

Its patented sensor allows you to see clear images at night and display the surroundings in color. This is called full-color night vision. The full-color night vision device provides greater contrast and color differences, making the surroundings easier to see and understand. With the Sionyx Nightwave it is possible to stay on the water late into the night and navigate home safely.
Although the Nightwave is basically designed for use on boats and ships, the night camera can of course also be used in any other area. Think about use on vehicles, in your garden or on land and so on. With the live stream function, the camera is indeed versatile.
