Designed for boats under 9 meters (30 feet) in length, the Compact Reactor 40 hydraulic autopilot relieves you at the wheel, especially at moderate to high speeds, so you don't have to manually hold the course1. Just relax at the helm and enjoy your time on the water while the solid-state 9-axis AHRS makes the ride more comfortable for everyone on board.

The autopilot is available in 3 basic packages, so you can configure it depending on the features you need and your budget. Purchase the starter pack (requires compatible chartplotter2) and add a GHC™ 20 marine autopilot controller or both a GHC 20 and Shadow Drive™.

Flexible mounting options make installation of the autopilot easy and commissioning is quick and easy. Choose the basic package with our patented Shadow Drive technology, so all you have to do is turn the wheel to take the wheel again. If you hold a straight course, the autopilot will re-engage. The device integrates with compatible Garmin devices to allow autopilot operation from the chartplotter display. You can also engage autopilot to follow an Auto Guidance route3 (requires BlueChart® g2 Vision® HD charts).

9 axis solid state AHRS

The Compact Reactor 40 offers flexible mounting options thanks to the advanced 9-axis solid-state AHRS. In addition, the new system significantly minimizes heading error, course deviation, rudder movement and power consumption, while making the journey more comfortable for everyone on board.

Minimal commissioning and calibration

All autopilots require commissioning and calibration. Without exception. But because we know you want to get on the water right away, we've made the process as quick and easy as possible.
 

Full integration with Garmin devices

Combined with compatible network devices, you have full control of the Compact Reactor 40 anywhere on the boat. Not only does the system hold the course in almost all weather and wind conditions, but it can also smoothly carry out various pre-programmed trolling and search procedures. Plus, with BlueChart g2 Vision HD charts (sold separately), you get optional features like: B. Auto Guidance3 for automatic navigation on GPS routes.
 

Always in control with Shadow Drive technology

The integrated, patented Shadow Drive technology gives you additional security in the knowledge that you remain in control at all times, even when the autopilot is activated. As soon as the wheel is turned, the Shadow Drive system automatically disengages the autopilot, allowing you to steer the boat. When you hold a straight course, the autopilot will automatically re-engage.

Connection to network devices

The Compact Reactor 40 can be operated directly via the display of your compatible Garmin chartplotter1 or via up to 3 GHC controls. The GHC communicates with the autopilot system over the NMEA 2000® network so that autopilot heading data can easily be shared with other devices. This enables MARPA and chart overlays when a Garmin radar and chartplotter are connected. An optional radio remote control is also available.
